FAS Premium Acrylic Sealant

FIRE INTUMESCENT SEALANT

A premium grade intumescent acrylic sealant that swells to prevent the passage of fire and smoke. It can provide up to 4 hours of fire resistance and is fire, smoke and acoustic rated. Supplied in a 310ml recycled plastic cartridge.

Areas of Application

  • Cavity gap filling and perimeter pointing in partition joints and between fire door frames, screens and walls

  • Provides 30-60 minutes of fire resistance for 5mm gaps or below without backing, and 30-120 minutes of fire resistance for gaps up to 25mm with FAS Fire Door Foam™ or stone mineral fibre wool

  • Timber frames - softwood (FD30), hardwood (FD60)

    Fire Rating

    Extensively fire tested to 30-120 minutes with fire doorsets in accordance with BS 476: Pt 20 & 22: 1987 and BS EN 1634-1: 2014.

    Acoustic tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 10140-2:2010.

    Comply with the requirements of Approved Document E.

    Guarantee

    The product can be stored for at least 18 months from its production date when stored in a cool and dry environment, in its original unopened container, and at temperatures between +2C and +30C. Do not allow it to freeze.
